Since we are on the topic of vaccines these days, this is as good as of a time as any to remind everyone that Gardasil (the HPV vaccine) is approved for MEN and WOMEN up to the age of 45 and is useful even if you already have HPV because it is for NINE strains! 馃コ

And there is emerging data that it may reverse HPV related pre-cancers! There is really no downside to anyone getting it

That is just the FDA approval age but it鈥檚 arbitrary

Last I checked there are no guidelines saying definitively to do this (because those are the most common 4). But if your insurance will cover it, it can鈥檛 hurt.

still waiting for the general medical community in germany to get that memo.. and health insurers to catch up and actually pay for it. (even if I could pay for it out of my own pocket, i have yet to find a doc who鈥榙 vaccinate me, because I鈥榤 waay above age 18)

Yes! For everyone. It鈥檚 part of the childhood vaccine schedule but was added later and missed many of us who didn鈥檛 get it as kids鈥攁sk your doc!
